There are a number of personal safety and wellness services across campus that are are available to Western employees and students.
Personal Safety
Campus Police
Campus Police provide services and information related to personal safety. They can be reached at 519-661-3300 for non-emergencies.
Fire Extinguisher Training
Fire Prevention offers a hands-on Fire Extinguisher Training Program. Sessions are offered every Thursday at 8:30am, 10:30am or 1:30pm. Contact Rob Fournier to register for a session or for more information.
Motorist Assistance Program
Parking Services provides Motorist Assistance for customers of Western's parking facilities. Contact Parking Services at 519-661-3973 or extension 83973 for assistance with unlocking locked vehicles and boosting dead car batteries.
Physical Plant Service Centre
Contact the Physical Plant Service Centre anytime (24/7) at 519-661-3304 or extension 83304 to report situations where safety hazards need to be corrected such as water or gas leaks.
Rape Aggression Defence (RAD) Training
The Rape Aggression Defence program provides women information on personal safety, awareness and practical defensive techniques. For information on upcoming courses contact Campus Police at 519-661-3300.
Western Foot Patrol
The Western Foot Patrol provides safe escort service for all personnel on the main and affiliate college campuses during the academic year. Co-ed teams will wait with you at bus stops, escort you to your car in campus parking lots, and escort you to your residence or any building on campus. Call 519-661-3650 or extension 83650 for service.
Women's Safety
The President's Committee on the Safety of Women on Campus is committed to the safety of women in the Western community.
Work Safe Program
The Work Safe Program is provided by Campus Police and Western Foot Patrol for anyone who works late on campus. When you call to use the service you establish "check in" times with Campus Police. If you do not not contact the operator at these designated times Campus Police will be dispatched for a welfare check. Customers must register for the service by calling Western Foot Patrol at 519-661-3650 or Campus Police at 519-661-3300.

Equity and Human Rights Services
Equity and Human Rights Services is committed to making Western an equitable, safe and supportive environment for faculty, staff and students. The office provides information regarding the University's discrimination and harassment policies, employment equity, diversity and other human rights issues.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program offers confidential face-to-face and secure web-based counselling though Family Services London. They can be contacted at 519-433-0700.
Hospitality Services
Hospitality Services provides nutrition counselling to students of Western.
Rehabilitation Services
Rehabilitation Services promotes employee health and wellness through injury prevention, return to work assessment and planning, individual health and wellness consultations and ergonomic assessments.
Student Development Services
Student Development Services provides a variety of academic, personal and career related services to help Western's undergraduate and graduate students.
Student Health Services
Student Health Services is a medical, counselling and educational facility which is available to all registered part-time and full-time Western students.
Western Wellness
The Western Wellness committee provides opportunities for Western faculty and staff to enhance their health and well being by sponsoring various presentations about healthy eating, active living and a balanced life.
Workplace Health
Workplace Health provides health services for Western faculty and staff. Services provided include: medical care, flu shots, occupational surveillance, health education, blood pressure screening, allergy injections, immunization, nursing care, physiotherapy and massage therapy.
