Internship Fee
Career Centre @ Western registers a student who has accepted an Internship position and has signed a Student Contract. The student is required to pay an Industry Internship Fee of $700 after completion of a 4-month work term.
- Any student who accepts an Internship offer and signs a contract with Career Centre @ Western and reneges on the offer prior to the beginning of the positions will be required to withdraw from the course.
- Any student who begins their Internship employment and subsequently terminates their Internship prior to the end of the Internship term will be required to pay the fee.
- Any student whose internship employment is terminated due to economic reasons and/or health/compassionate reasons will be required to pay the fee.
- Any student who is withdrawn from the Internship due to academic reasons (i.e.: a scholastic offence) will be required to pay the fee.
- Internship fees are NON refundable and are not tax deductible.
- Non-payment of the Internship Fee within 30 days of the invoice date will result in accrual of late charges at the current university rate. Non-payment of the Internship Fee within 180 days of the invoice date will result in an academic seal.
PLEASE NOTE: The Industry Internship Fee is an administrative charge and not a tuition fee. Income Tax forms will not be issued.
