Geography is the science of place and space on earth. Geographers study both the spatial aspects of human existence and the physical phenomena and processes that form our environment. Geographers make critical contributions to knowledge and human society through study of the linkages between human activity and natural systems. Our broad-based program provides students with training in both the social and physical science of geography, as well as in techniques such as GIS and remote sensing that are critical to answering geographic questions.
If you are planning on returning in September you must complete your Intent to Register online through Student Center. By completing your ITR online you are letting Western know that you are returning and the program that you plan to take next year. If you don't do this, you won't be able to register for courses. For more information about the Intent to Register visit the Social Science website. The Program Information page on the Geography Undergraduate webpage contains a lot of useful information as well. If you still have questions contact the undergraduate advisor in Geography Angelica Lucaci (firstname.lastname@example.org, x 86052).
